About Us

The Order of Friars Minor Capuchin - Custody of Malaysia-Singapore

The Order of Friars Minor Capuchin (Latin: Ordo Fratrum Minorum Capuccinorum; postnominal abbr. O.F.M.Cap.) is an order of friars within the Catholic Church.

The Capuchins, accordingly, are sons of St. Francis. We lead Christian life according to the simplicity of the gospel, lead others back to the Christian spirit and inspire all with greater love of God.

As the Custody of Malaysia-Singapore, we are Capuchins ministering to West Malaysia, East Malaysia and Singapore.

SAINT FRANCIS OF ASSISI (Admonitions- no. 27)

“Where there is charity and wisdom there is neither fear nor ignorance. Where there is patience and humility there is neither anger nor worry.”

Our History

Get to know St Francis of Assisi, who is the Father of the Capuchins. Be Inspired by our Capuchin Saints, Blessed and Associates. Discover the history of the first Capuchin missionaries from India to Malaysia, from our first friary, until today.

Our Spirituality

What sets us apart from the rest of the world? A friar, lives the Gospel as simple and straightforward as possible with prayer and contemplation. In our Capuchin Fraternity, we live and depend on each other, in service to others.

Hearing the Call

"I have been all things unholy. If God can work through me, He can work through anyone.” - St Francis of Assisi. It's never easy to hear God's call, but He calls us each by name. If you think He might be calling you to our way of life, come and see.
