CHRISTMAS GREETINGS FROM THE CUSTOS OF THE CAPUCHIN CUSTODY OF MALAYSIA – SINGAPORE

Peace and all good to all the Brothers in the Custody, Friends and Benefactors!

Once again, we have arrived at the time of the year when many of us greet and wish each other ‘Blessed Christmas’ to celebrate a season of peace and goodwill that marks the end of a year. Christmas is a celebration, a time for giving and not simply a day we exchange gifts. The spirit of Christmas is in the ‘togetherness’, it’s in the thought to which you put into thinking about others, it’s a selfless time, where we forgive, take stock of what’s important and become ‘better’ versions of ourselves. May this special occasion fill our souls with happiness and life with positivity and glory.

My wish is for each of you to continue along your path in search of the Lord; to realize that the Lord never stops but continues to draw near to us in order to encounter us; and that by welcoming the Lord who precedes us, our hearts may also open up to look upon and to encounter our brothers in the same way. As this year is drawing to a close, my hope is for a prosperous 2022 for your families and our Custody. I hope during this holiday season we all have the opportunity to find warmth in the embrace of our benefactors, friends and families and take a moment to appreciate who we have in our lives. I look forward to next year bringing us more joy and more occasions to celebrate together.

I wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Blessed Christmas 25th December 2022 and a New Year 1st January 2023 filled with fun, cheer and special Holiday.

God bless us all 🙏

Yours in Francis and Clare

Fr. Valentine Gompok OFMCap
